It took a week and a half, but yesterday I found some mid-quarantine bliss.
My 4-year-old was coloring and Factiming with a friend - a virtual playdate of sorts.
My 2-year-old was camped at my side on the couch, eating raisins and animal crackers while reading books with me - a homebound Mommy and me date..
Emails, housework, dinner, and all the rest of it were on hold - a form of self-care that I desperately needed in the midst of our new “normal.”
It’s not always pretty, but yesterday there was a pocket of bliss.
