It took a week and a half, but yesterday I found some mid-quarantine bliss.
My 4-year-old was coloring and Factiming with a friend - a virtual playdate of sorts. My 2-year-old was camped at my side on the couch, eating raisins and animal crackers while reading books with me - a homebound Mommy and me date.. Emails, housework, dinner, and all the rest of it were on hold - a form of self-care that I desperately needed in the midst of our new “normal.” It’s not always pretty, but yesterday there was a pocket of bliss.

I love the feeling of peace in this piece. I think we are all learning to embrace these small moments, these pockets of bliss.

Enjoy the moments of bliss! I am hoping as they continue to grow older they will still love their time with you. My kids are 12, 15, and 16 and they still have their moments of wanting to snuggle next to me for a few moments.

That's terrific. You have to take what you can get and be thankful for it these days!
